Skyworks Solutions has announced two new products in its portfolio of high-reliability components for military and space applications: a low noise amplifier (LNA) and gain block amplifier.

The SKYH22001 LNA is internally tuned for 700 MHz to 2.7 GHz, with the option to extend the response to 3.8 GHz. The typical noise figure is 1.2 dB. The gain and compression point were not specified, nor was a data sheet available on the website when this was posted. The LNA, internally matched to 50 Ω at the input and output, is offered in a 14-pin, hermetic, ceramic QFN package and specified to operate from −55°C to +125°C.

The SKYH22002 is a general purpose gain block, fabricated on an InP HBT process. It covers 100 MHz to 6 GHz. Internally matched to 50 Ω at the input and output, the amplifier has 20 dB gain and +20 dBm output at 1 dB compression at 2 GHz. The third-order intercept is specified as +34 dBm typical. As with the LNA, the SKYH22002 is offered in a 14-pin, hermetically sealed, ceramic QFN package and specified to operate from −55°C to +125°C.

With all peripheral components integrated into the ceramic QFN package, both amplifiers simplify the design-in process and reduce board footprint.

Other products in Skyworks’ high reliability portfolio include optocouplers, RF diodes, RFICs and multi-chip modules. The products may be up-screened to the equivalent of Class B and Class S of MIL-PRF-38535, Class H and Class K of MILPRF-38534 and JANS, JANTX and JANTXV level of MIL-PRF-19500.
