Anritsu Corp. President Hirokazu Hamada is pleased to announce that its New Radio RF Conformance System ME7873NR has achieved industry-first Global Certification Forum (GCF) validation for 5G New Radio (NR) mmWave RF conformance tests based on 3GPP specifications.

The ME7873NR has been registered with GCF as 5G NR RF/RRM test platform TP250 and has been widely deployed in the ecosystem. The ME7873NR also had industry-first GCF-certified sub-6 GHz RF conformance tests validation in January 2019. The new mmWave certification received at the July 2019 Conformance Agreement Group (CAG) meeting helped establish the ME7873NR as the leading test solution for solving mmWave technical issues using 5G NR mmWave Non-Standalone (NSA) RF conformance tests.

Anritsu’s vast experience in Conformance Test development started with the first 3G services and endures today, as the company provides timely and reliable solutions that meet customers' expectations. Anritsu is continuing its development of reliable and stable conformance test solutions to help improve and accelerate 5G technologies and advance the 5G ecosystem.

ME7873NR Outline

The New Radio RF Conformance Test System ME7873NR is an automated system for 3GPP TS38.521/TS38.533-defined 5G NR RF/RRM tests. It supports both 5G NR Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) modes as well as 5G frequency bands, including sub-6 GHz and mmWave, when combined with Anritsu’s CATR Anechoic Chamber MA8172A. A flexible system configuration allows customers to customize the ME7873NR for different 5G specific radio measurement conditions. The ME7873NR also offers an easy upgrade path to 5G from the LTE-Advanced RF Conformance Test System ME7873LA creating a cost-effective migration path.
