Accumet Engineering and Laser Services have announced the planned merger of the two companies during January 2019. The combined entity will use the name Accumet Engineering.
Accumet, located in Hudson, Massachusetts, provides precision lapping and polishing services. Laser Services, located in Westford, Massachusetts, provides custom laser cutting, drilling, marking and welding services. The combined capabilities will serve medical device, microelectronics and military/aerospace OEMs with a single source for materials processing and assembly services.
Laser Services is currently AS:9100:2015 registered. Accumet will be soon, completing the registration in early 2019.
Both companies are owned by Gregory Sexton and have been operating independently.

Following the merger, all administrative functions — purchase order acknowledgments, order entry, human resources, accounts payables and accounts receivable — will be handled by the corporate headquarters in Westford. The Hudson location will remain open and serve as an operations facility. Both websites will merge and use the domain name www.accumet.com.
