Terry Lingren, CEO of filter startup Resonant Inc., has stepped down as the company's CEO, announcing plans to retire. His role has been assumed by George Holmes, Resonant's president, chief commercial officer and a board member.

Lingren was one of the founders and served as CEO and on the board since Resonant was formed in 2012. Lingren will be available to assist with the transition of his role, according to a Resonant release announcing the change.

Holmes joined Resonant in February 2016 to lead the "go to market strategies." During his 11 month tenure, Resonant added a series of development projects and customers, now at more than 20 projects with six customers. Assuming some success, Resonant will begin to generate royalty revenue from production filter shipments.

John Major, chairman of Resonant's board, said, “We thank Terry for his vision, leadership and many contributions in forming the company and bringing it to this stage of development. We wish him the very best in his retirement.”
