With springtime just around the corner (thankfully), showtime for our industry begins to kick into high gear. Next week finds MWJ at the Satellite show in Washington, DC, IWCE in Las Vegas and IEEE EMC & SI in Santa Clara, CA. Next month brings us to the Microwaves & RF event in Paris, WAMICON in Florida and EDI CON in Beijing. In May, the annual IEEE MTT-S IMS takes place in Phoenix. That’s quite the run of events.

We are currently working on the April issue of MWJ, which will serve as our show issue for IMS. The magazine will be included in all delegate bags and on the show floor, providing significant bonus distribution at the event. This issue will also be distributed at the AUVSI show in Atlanta (May 4-7). It features a cover story written by well known industry guru Leonard Pelletier (RF Leonard) on the history of Motorola in the Phoenix area and its impact on the RF/microwave industry. The issue also features extensive coverage of Microwave Week, including a "Product Showcase" that highlights some of the significant new products to be displayed on the exhibition floor. If your company is exhibiting this year, an advertisement in this issue helps drive traffic to your booth to maximize your investment. The deadlines are March 18th for space and March 20th for ad material. More details can be found in the monthly Ad Bulletin.

This month marks the debut of our new video library, “Microwave Media”. With video playing a growing role in B2B marketing, we’re pleased to offer our sponsors the ability to upload unlimited videos that are indexed by application, market, event and company. A new bi-weekly newsletter will feature sponsored videos and drive traffic to the site. Analytics are provided, allowing companies to track the performance of their videos. There are two levels of sponsorship: Gold and Silver. The Silver level provides sponsors with their logo on the site, unlimited uploads of videos, periodic placement in the newsletter and featured spots on the library landing pages. The Gold level adds a professionally produced video demo at your booth at IMS or EuMW and other features. Click here for more details, including costs for sponsorship.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the industry events in the coming months.

As always, thanks for reading.

Regards,

Carl Sheffres
