RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for TriQuint’s TGA2598-SM, a 33 dBm Psat GaN driver amplifier. The TGA2598-SM offers 25 dB small signal gain from two internal gain stages housed in a 4 x 4 mm, air-cavity ceramic QFN package. Covering 6 to 12 GHz, the TGA2598-SM offers >25% power added efficiency.

Target markets for this TriQuint amplifier include Radar, EW and communication systems. Using a 25V bias and drawing only 200mA, the TGA2598-SM is compatible with TriQuint’s high power GaN amplifiers, easing the burden of multiple bias supplies.
