250 Burn InIn its continuing efforts to deliver the highest reliability leaded capacitors and assemblies, Passive Plus, Inc. (PPI) now performs a 100 HR. Burn In on all leaded 1111, 2225, 3838, 6040 and 7676 series capacitors and assemblies.

Typical electrical tests may not detect internal flaws such as voids, cracks, de-laminations and electrode discontinuities, which can lead to latent and/or catastrophic failures in high power applications.

The PPI 100 Burn In, is done at extended voltage and 125C, with capacitance, dissipation factor (inverse of Q), and IR (Insulation Resistance) measurements taken before and after burn in.
