David Choi, Ph.D. joins Mercury Systems as technical director, RF power amplifiers. Choi brings over a decade of experience and a wide breadth and depth of knowledge spanning the commercial and defense industries as well as academia. His expertise ranges from device physics, RF circuits and RF communication systems to advanced research, product development and project/line management. During his time as Visiting Scholar at University of California, San Diego, Dr. Choi led cutting edge academic research in highly linear and efficient (Envelope tracking/EER) RF transmitters.
Choi earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara and a B.S. in physics from the University of California, Berkeley. He is the founder of custom RF power amplifier solutions company, RF Design Concepts, Ltd. and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
