New Non-Reflective MMIC SPDT Module covers DC to 18 GHz. Ideal for Test & Measurement, Fiber Optics, Military & Space Applications.

Chelmsford, MA, 6/08/09 – Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, announces the release of a new GaAs MMIC SPDT non-reflective switch module for use in microwave radio, VSAT, military & space, fiber optic and broadband test equipment applications from DC to 18 GHz.

The HMC-C058 is a general purpose, wideband, high isolation, non-reflective GaAs MESFET SPDT switch housed in a miniature hermetic module with field replaceable SMA connectors. Covering DC to 18 GHz, this wideband, non-reflective SPDT switch exhibits 2 dB insertion loss and 60 dB isolation at midband, and requires only one control line. High P1dB and input IP3 performance of +27 dBm and +46 dBm respectively, make the HMC-C058 ideal for applications requiring high linearity. This compact MMIC SPDT also exhibits fast rise and fall times of 3 ns, and accepts control voltages of 0 and +5V with a fixed +5V supply, while drawing only 1.4 mA.

The HMC-C058 complements Hittite's broad line of SPST and SPNT switch products which are available in die, SMT and connectorized module formats, with frequency coverage from DC to 86 GHz.

All connectorized module products are available from stock and can be ordered via the company’s e-commerce site or via direct purchase order. A released data sheet is available on-line at www.hittite.com.
