HAUPPAUGE, NY – Mar. 25, 2011 -- Narda, an L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) company, today released a new catalog dedicated to its Series 80000 and Series 85000 satellite communications transceivers and up- and-downconverters. The catalog covers each member of the family in detail, including all specifications, applications, and dimensional drawings.

The Series 8000 includes the Model 81000 and 82000 transceivers that convert an L-band intermediate frequency to X and Ku or Ka bands and are based on Narda’s Ultimate SMT Integrated Microwave Assembly (IMA) technology. All models in the series are compact, lightweight units that integrate block up-and-downconverters, linear solid-state power amplifiers, and control functions. The Series 85000 downconverter subsystems include all of the conversion functions of the Series 8000 but are designed for applications in which an external RF power amplifier is desired, resulting in smaller, lighter enclosures.
