New Low Voltage Switch in Miniature 1x1mm 6-lead PDFN Package Ideally Suited for RF Switching Applications
Lowell, MA, March 4, 2009 – M/A-COM Technology Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of innovative microwave and RF design solutions and products, today introduced a new low-cost, RoHS compliant, SPDT switch in a miniature 1x1 mm 6-lead PDFN package. The MASW-009444 is ideally suited for applications where low control voltage, low insertion loss, moderate isolation, and small size are required.
“This new offering is a sterling example of M/A-COM Technology Solutions’ commitment to the mobile wireless market and demonstrates the company’s continued support of customers with lower control voltage and smaller outline products,” said Dave Folding, product manager, M/A-COM Technology Solutions. “This new switch is designed to exceed the needs of our handset customers, while providing competitive prices for cost-sensitive and space-constrained applications. We are proud to continue offering the industry with the innovative, high-performance and cost-effective products consumers have come to expect from M/A-COM Technology Solutions.”
The M/A-COM MASW-009444 is intended for RF switching applications with low control voltage requirements, such as handset filter switching. This product can also be used in most systems operating up to 6 GHz and require high power at low control voltage. The MASW-009444 switch is ideally suited for filter switching applications that require voltage operation as low as 1.6V. Typical insertion loss at 1-2 GHz is 0.3 dB with an isolation of 23 dB, and P1dB of 15 dBm. The MASW-009444 is fabricated on M/A-COM’s GaAs PHEMT process and features full passivation for increased reliability.
