Novotronik, booth 132, will be exhibiting a switching unit and broadband matrix at EuMW.

The switching unit GTS5635 is required for automatic redundancy switching (2:1) of IF and L-Band signals in the frequency range 50 to 2150 MHz. The unit is housed in a 19" subrack with very good RF shielding and consists of the following sub-assemblies:

• solid-state switches DPDT

• attenuators, fix and programmable

• DPDT

• amplifiers

• directional couplers

• control logic

• redundant power supply modules

• LAN interface

• mimic with manual control

The LAN interface can be used to control the unit via remote control. Gain setting and selection of the RF path could be also done manually on the front panel. Most of the time satellite groundstations and teleports are using this solution. The broadband matrix MAS4342 distributes eight broadband signals to eight receivers in the frequency range 20 to 3000 MHz without any blocking.

The matrix is housed in a 19" subrack with very good RF shielding and consists of the following sub-assemblies:

• amplifiers with high dynamic range

• matrix board (8x8)

• processor board

• LAN interface

• redundant power supply modules

• manual control

The matrix is controlled via a LAN interface. The integrated webserver allows the unit configuration, shows status information and obtain troubleshooting information.

A Tx version will be available also.
