Rosenberger has announced the formation of the new Wireless Terminal Components (WTC) business unit. The new organization has been established in order to offer a wide range of standard products for various wireless applications, such as cellular and cordless phones, Bluetooth applications, wireless LAN applications or data collecting terminals.

The aim of the WTC is to consolidate the company’s offering in this business sector. Initially it will concentrate on developing existing products such as the spring loaded (pogo) pin family that covers antenna contacts from 3 to 10 mm height and battery contacts, including plastic housings for various polarities. Alongside the micro-RF components range, which includes a micro-RF test switch—patent pending—for frequencies up to 6 GHz and a minimum of 100 mating cycles, there is an accessories offering of adapters including snap-on and slide-on versions. Following the establishment of this new business unit the immediate to long-term plan is for the WTC product range to be continually updated and complemented by additional components.
