Agilent Technologies Inc. announced the launch of its online Pico Café, an interactive web community created exclusively for atomic force microscope users. Agilent AFM users from around the world are invited to visit the new PicoCafé at www.agilent.com/find/picocafe to share original script programming and instrumentation-related insights with one another.
“The PicoCafé has been constructed to serve as a convenient and comfortable online gathering place for researchers who are seeking to optimize the utility of their own Agilent AFM systems, as well as for those who would like to assist their colleagues’ efforts to do so,” said Jeff Jones, general manager for Agilent’s nano-instrumentation facility in Chandler, AZ. “The new site will provide an invaluable repository of innovative tools and highly practical knowledge for AFM users working in a broad range of scientific and industrial fields.”
Designed to facilitate the free exchange of ideas among Agilent AFM users, the PicoCafé allows all registered participants to post and access Agilent PicoScript instrument automation scripts, PicoImage mini-docs for data processing, PicoView plug-ins, and system-specific AFM information. This unique online hub will enable community members to disseminate and discover new means of streamlining functionality, controlling experiments, and acquiring and processing data, all while extending the AFM body of knowledge.
State-of-the-art atomic force microscopes from Agilent include the popular 5100, 5420, 5500, 5600LS, and 6000ILM. Agilent’s industry-leading environmental/temperature systems and fluid-handling capabilities deliver superior control for electrochemistry, polymer, material and life science applications.
Agilent offers high-precision, modular AFM solutions for research, industry and education. Exceptional worldwide support is provided by experienced application scientists and technical service personnel. Agilent’s leading-edge R&D laboratories are dedicated to the timely introduction and optimization of innovative and easy-to-use AFM technologies.More information is available at www.agilent.com/find/nano.
