The industry's first comprehensive training center for configurable processor technology has been opened in Hsinchu, Taiwan by ARC International. Hsinchu is the capital of the country's multi-billion dollar semiconductor industry and the training center features senior instructors from ARC International and partner companies. They will guide customers and prospects in Greater China on the development of lower cost, highly differentiated chips using the company's patented configurable products and third party technologies.

The center has been established in response to the dramatic increase in demand by companies in Greater China for ARC's configurable solutions, which offer the ability to create differentiated and low cost system-on-chips. Recent regional investments by the company also include increasing sales and customer support staff, and marketing activities.

Commenting on the significance of this new training center, Derek Meyer, senior vice president of sales and marketing at ARC International, said, "Our worldwide network of training offices has expanded into Asia to support the burgeoning design activity occurring in both Taiwan and China."
