Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces a 5.6 to 10.5 GHz GaAs MMIC up-converter that integrates a double balanced image reject mixer, LO buffer amplifier, RF buffer amplifier and variable attenuator, all within a fully molded 4x4mm QFN package.

This RoHS-compliant, packaged up-converter has an output third order intercept point (OIP3) of +25 dBm, a conversion gain of 8 dB and a typical image rejection of 15 dBc. Variable gain regulation can be achieved by adjusting the bias, with turn-down trajectories optimized to maintain linearity and minimal 2xLO leakage over the gain control range. The XU1012-QH is well suited for point-to-point(PTP) radio, LMDS, SatCom and VSAT applications.

“The XU1012-QH is an ideal solution for lower side band, or LSB up-conversion in the 6 GHz and 7 GHz point-to-point ETSI radio bands,” stated David Richardson, Product Line Director, Mimix Broadband, Inc. “The device has an optimal combination of high linearity, high image rejection, and low LO leakage, and is offered in a low-cost, industry standard 4x4mm QFN package.”

The XU1012-QH is 100% RF and DC tested. A small quantity of engineering samples is available today from stock, with a lead time of 14 weeks for production quantities. Technical support is also available from Mimix’s applications engineers at 281.988.4600.
