Coaxial Resonator VCO: CRO5550Z-LF

SAN DIEGO, August 26, 2008: Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant Coaxial Resonator VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model CRO5550Z-LF in C-band. The CRO5550Z-LF operates from 5450-5650 MHz (using a doubler inside) with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-15 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -104 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 20 MHz/V.

The CRO5550Z-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 3 dBm at 5 Vdc supply while drawing 120 mA (typical, due to the doubler inside) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This VCO features typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s VCO-24H package measuring 0.63 in. x 0.866 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CRO5550Z-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
