What: Around the world, engineers continue to use HP/Agilent power supplies that were built many years ago. Engineers who are still using a vintage instrument are invited to write a short biography of their DC power supply and tell how the instrument has been used over the years and how they are using it now to overcome test challenges.

“Agilent has 50 years of power supply expertise and more than 250 basic and high performance programmable DC power supplies designed to meet the needs of the many industries and applications,” said Kari Fauber, Marketing Manager, Agilent’s System Products Division, “The Test of Time contest embodies those ideals of leadership and long-standing reliability of our power supplies.

Entries will be judged on the age and the life story of the power supply.

Two grand prize winners -- one picked by Agilent and one voted by participating engineers -- will each receive an N6705B DC power analyzer and three modules.Approximate value: US $11,000.

When: Deadline for entries is February 29, 2012.
