Munich, 16 February, 2009 — The CDMA Certification Forum (CCF) has certified a new multimedia messaging service (MMS) test solution from Rohde & Schwarz. Offered as a software update for the R&S CMU200 universal radio communication tester, the Rohde & Schwarz solution provides the market's first validated MMS test cases for CDMA2000. Certification was granted in early 2009.

MMS specifications of the Open Mobile Alliance comply with various mobile radio standards such as GSM, WCDMA and CDMA2000. The new application software expands the Rohde & Schwarz product portfolio to enable users to test all standards uniformly with the R&S CMU200.

Rohde & Schwarz actively supports the CCF in its efforts to optimize CDMA2000 test sequences. The CCF was established in 2004 to standardize development processes for CDMA2000-based user equipment. Its primary goals are to establish a high minimum standard for all applications while simultaneously reducing development costs.

The application software is now available from Rohde & Schwarz.
