Centro de Tecnologia de las Comunicaciones, S.A. (CETECOM), in Spain, has been selected by the WiMAX Forum™ to develop the Radio Conformance Test Tester (RCTT) for mobile WiMAX. This follows the company’s participation, together with other test equipment manufacturers, in a RCTT RFP activity conducted by the Forum. The test system is based on the recently announced MINT T2110, claimed to be the first RF conformance test system for IEEE 802.16-2004 devices. It will be supporting both fixed WiMAX and mobile RF testing. The MINT family of test solutions for WiMAX comprises a radio conformance tester, a protocol conformance tester and a protocol analyzer tool. Andres Moreno, telecommunications director at CETECOM Spain, said, “We are very happy for this selection. The designation of MINT T2110 as one of the official RCTT for mobile WiMAX will provide our customers an unrivalled test environment for R&D, pre-certification and final certification testing. This product completes our portfolio of conformance test solutions for WiMAX, including RCTT for fixed WiMAX and mobile and PCT for mobile WiMAX.”
