Women in Microwave Engineering Plans Event at EuMW

Women in Microwave Engineering will hold a get-together during European Microwave Week. It will be Tuesday 11 October from 17.00 to 19.00 in Central Meeting Room 8 at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.

The event starts off with talks by prominent female microwave engineers from academia and industry. The panel discussion transitions into a reception, enabling informal interactions.

Details of the programme are as follows:

17.00-17.10: Introductions by EuMW General Chair and MTT-S President

17.10-17.20: Overview on IEEE and MTT-S WIE statistics by IEEE MTT-S WIM Coordinator

17.20-17.35: Speaker 1: Prof. Magdalena Salazar-Palma, AP-S President

17.35-17.50: Speaker 2: Rebecca Brierley (Radiodesign, UK)

17.50-18.10: Interactive discussion

18.10-19.00: Reception

Attendance is free, but registration is requested by emailing by September 16. Both men and women are welcome.

WIM acknowledges IEEE MTT-S for sponsoring the WIM reception. Dominique Schreurs is the EuMW WIM Event Coordinator. Charlotte Blair is the IEEE MTT-S Women in Engineering Coordinator.
