Gary Lerude

Gary Lerude is the Technical Editor of Microwave Journal. Previously, he spent his career as a “midwife” aiding the growth of the compound semiconductor industry, from device to application, from defense to commercial. He spent 19 years at Texas Instruments, 11 years at MACOM and six years with TriQuint. Gary holds a bachelor’s in EE, a master’s in systems engineering and an engineers degree (ABD) in EE.

Altum RF Announces Management Team

Fabless RFIC supplier Altum RF has made several announcements since unveiling the start-up earlier this year and announcing Greg Baker as CEO.

Cofounder Niels Kramer is the managing director for Europe, also VP of marketing. Kramer has more than 25 years process and RF/microwave semiconductor experience, most recently with MACOM, where he was responsible for developing a portfolio of RFICs. Read more about his background here.

Tony Fattorini, the third cofounder, is VP of Engineering. He has more than 20 years experience with technology and product development, including design-for-manufacturing. Before cofounding Altum RF, Fattorini was an engineering manager and senior principal engineer at MACOM, responsible for managing a team of design engineers. Read more about his background here.

The company has its headquarters in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, with teams in Sydney, Australia and Dallas, Texas. The Eindhoven office is located on the campus of Eindhoven University of Technology.
