Anaren IoT Group announced that Intel has selected Atmosphere 2.0, the company’s leading IoT platform for rapid prototyping and design.  The Intel Curie module is now available as a design element within Atmosphere, both at the module level and within devices like the Arduino 101 development board and the element14 tinyTILE from Premier Farnell.

ON Semiconductor Corporation is acquiring and licensing millimeter wave technology developed by IBM’s Haifa, Israel research team. ON Semiconductor will use the technology for automotive radar applications. AT&T plans a nationwide deployment of its LTE-M network for the Internet of Things (IoT) during the second quarter of 2017 in the U.S. and by the end of the year in Mexico. The rollout across AT&T's LTE network in the U.S. and Mexico will cover some 400 million people, as of the end of 2016.
