Leonardo strengthens its position in the UK as it begins operating as one new single entity, Leonardo MW Ltd.

Airbus Defence and Space has agreed to sell its share in Atlas Elektronik Group to thyssenkrupp AG, which will make the company the sole owner.

Thales’ latest-generation Spy’Ranger mini surveillance and reconnaissance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) has been chosen by the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) to equip the French forces. Up to 70 mini-UAV reconnaissance systems (SMDR) will be made available from 2018. Each system consists of three mini-UAVs, a ground segment and the associated technical support.

Harris Corp. has been awarded a $91 million IDIQ contract by Warner Robins Air Logistics Center to provide AN/ALQ-211 Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare Suite (AIDEWS) systems to the Royal Moroccan Air Force (RMAF). The contract was awarded during the second quarter of Harris' fiscal 2017.

Mercury Systems Inc. received a $24.4 million follow-on order from a leading defense prime for integrated RF and digital subsystems for an EW system. The order, which includes an option to purchase additional units, is planned to be shipped over the next several quarters.
