Wolfspeed introduces 50 V plastic GaN HEMTs for LTE & radar

Wolfspeed, a Cree Company and a leading global supplier of GaN-on-SiC high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) and monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), has introduced two new plastic-packaged 50V/60W GaN HEMT devices that provide the intrinsic GaN value of power and bandwidth in a low cost package platform. Supplied in miniature (4.5mm x 6.5mm), economical, plastic SMT packages, these new devices are ideal for LTE, small cell base transceiver station (BTS), radar, public safety radio, and other communications applications.

Raytheon broadens cyber capabilities with acquisition of Foreground Security

 Raytheon Co. announced it has acquired Herndon, Virginia-based Foreground Security, a leading provider of security operations centers (SOCs), managed security service solutions and cybersecurity professional services.  The acquired company, which will be called Raytheon Foreground Security (RFS), accelerates Raytheon's expansion into managed security services across federal, international and commercial markets. RFS has approximately 165 employees, 85 percent who are trained cybersecurity experts.

L-3 Link receives award to compete on future task orders under USAF TSA III contract

L-3 Communications announced that its Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link) business has been awarded a position to compete under the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Training Systems Acquisition (TSA) III contract. L-3 is one of 12 large company contractors to compete for future TSA III task orders over the next 10 years, which, collectively, could have a potential value of $20.9 billion.
