Anritsu Co. announces that its ME7873L RF/RRM Conformance Test System has achieved the world’s first test platform approval criteria (TPAC) for LTE-advanced carrier aggregation (CA). This industry-leading achievement in the Global Certification Forum (GCF) enables wireless device manufacturers to implement certification of devices employing this new technology. 

Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that Nitronex, a GaAs labs company and leading producer of GaN-on-silicon RF power devices, has selected Agilent to provide a complete GaN design flow that spans both device modeling and circuit simulation. The flow uses Agilent EEsof EDA’s IC-CAP model extraction software and Advanced Design System (ADS) circuit and system simulator—both market-leading platforms in RF and microwave design.

Mercury Systems Inc., a best-of-breed provider of commercially developed, open sensor and Big Data processing systems for critical commercial, defense and intelligence applications, announced it received an $11 million follow-on order from a leading defense prime contractor for high performance microwave subsystems for an electronic warfare application. The orders were received in Mercury’s fiscal 2014 second quarter, with deliveries currently expected to span 2015 through 2018.

National Instruments announced that it is the first vendor to execute a Manufacturing Test License (MTL) agreement with Broadcom Corp. The MTL agreement authorizes NI to provide manufacturing test solutions and modifiable application source code to Broadcom® wireless LAN and Bluetooth device customers.

Linear Technology Corp. announces the LT8612, a 6 A, 42 V input capable synchronous step-down switching regulator. Synchronous rectification delivers efficiency as high as 95% while Burst Mode® operation keeps quiescent current under 3 µA in no-load standby conditions. Its 3.4 to 42 V input voltage range makes it ideal for automotive and industrial applications. Its internal high efficiency switches deliver up to 6 A of continuous output current to voltages as low as 0.97 V.

Agilent Technologies Inc. announced theE5063A ENA Series network analyzer, a low-cost ENA solution for manufacturing test. The instrument offers optimized performance and functionality for testing simple RF passive components, such as handset/BTS antennas, RF cables and filters. It can also be used in R&D for evaluation of RF passive devices and dielectric materials.

San-tron Inc., a leading manufacturer of RF coaxial connectors and cable assemblies, has announced that they have rehired Vincent Caputo as senior product line manager for Cable Assemblies. Caputo brings over 16 years of RF/microwave experience to the position and first came to San-ton as a sales associate in 2004, and more recently served as eastern regional sales manager.  

Agilent announced the newest version of its Command Expert software for faster and easier instrument control in many test application development environments.
