The API rotary joint is used to transmit RF energy from a stationary RF source to a rotating RF line. The 305W operates from DC to 12.4 GHz through type N coaxial connectors. VSWR is as low as 1.15:1. Rotary joints have inherently low insertion loss as evidenced by the 305W with loss ranging from <0.2 dB below 6 GHz to <0.3 dB below 12.4 GHz.
