IMFW 2026 is the third international workshop dedicated to the topics of microwave filters for both the academic and industrial communities. The workshop was first initiated in Perugia, Italy in 2021 and has since grown to become a major event organized by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S), reaching its full potential in Cocoa Beach, Fla., in 2024. In 2026, this biennial conference will expand its reach to the largest continent, which is home to the largest microwave filter industry. This conference presents an excellent opportunity to bring together researchers from both industry and academia around the world, allowing them to share the most recent advances in filter theory, technology, and manufacturing issues. What sets this conference apart is its strong emphasis on the interaction between industrial expertise and academia, achieved through organized industry forums, hands-on tutorials, and industry receptions. This conference is particularly valuable for those interested in fostering a close industry-academia interaction.
Authors of accepted papers will be encouraged to submit an extended paper for a mini-special issue in the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques.
