Ampleon announced the 200 W BPC10M6X2S200 LDMOS-based power amplifier module, suitable for a variety of plasma lighting, industrial heating, medical and RF cooking and defrosting applications.
Operating in the 423 to 443 MHz frequency range, this compact, lightweight pallet — measuring just 125 mm x 33 mm and weighing 85 g — can operate in pulsed or continuous wave modes. High efficiency, typically 74 percent, keeps cooling requirements to a minimum. Two stages providing 38 dB gain eases the design-in into the end-application, requiring less input power to achieve the 200 W output.
Matched to 50 Ω at the input and output makes integration simpler, eliminating additional matching components, which saves both space and cost. The amplifier has excellent ruggedness, capable of withstanding a VSWR of 10:1 for a short duration.
The BPC10M6X2S200 has an integrated directional coupler with detectors to measure forward and reflected power.
