3D Glass Solutions, a leader in glass-based systems integration for electronic packages, is proud to announce the newly elected chairman of their board of directors, Stuart Schoenmann. Schoenmann joins the 3D Glass Solutions Board with more than 30 years of expertise in the applied technology and high-tech manufacturing industry, along with 12 years of CEO and COO experience. His experience also includes implementing aggressive growth strategies, including leading companies from $10 million to $200 million in sales.

In addition to his new role for 3D Glass Solutions, he also serves as a director of the technology companies Avisa Pharma, CleanSpot, and ClearAlign, and he served for the last three years as an Operating Partner at the private equity company Norwest Equity Partners (NEP) in the applied technology and high-tech manufacturing industry. 

From 2003–2011, he served as CEO of CVI Melles Griot, a leading global designer and manufacturer of precision photonics products, where he and his team built CVI into a leader within the photonics industry, transitioning the company into a diversified photonics supplier, aggressively expanding its product offerings, and completing four add-on acquisitions. Prior to his CEO post at CVI, Stuart held leadership roles at other leading applied technology companies, including Raytek (successful private company turn-around eventually sold to Fluke/Danaher), PerkinElmer, Corning, and Rockwell International.
