INTEGRATED CIRCUITS

2320 - 2500 MHz Frequency Synthesizer
The model PSA-2410 frequency synthesizer operates from a 3 V supply with low power consumption of 28 mA. The 0.940" x 0.940" x 0.232" surface-mount device covers a frequency range from 2320 to 2500 MHz with a spurious suppression better than –60 dBc and second harmonic suppression exceeding –15 dBc. Phase noise is –97 dBc/Hz at a 100 kHz offset. The synthesizer has an adjustable step size of 1000 kHz.

TSSOP-16 Devices
These TSSOP-16 devices offer a footprint of 6.4 x 5.0 mm with a height profile of 1.1 mm, which saves space in cellular telephones, portable data acquisition instruments, portable automatic test equipment and battery-powered systems. The devices are incorporated in the company’s general-purpose quad analog switches, which are built on a proprietary high voltage silicon gate process. The models DG201BDQ and DG202BDQ switches offer on-resistance of 45 W with a 120 ns turn-on time and 1 pC charge injection. Prices: range from 60¢ to 70¢ (100,000).

3 V Cellular Power Amplifier IC
The model TQ7111 cellular power amplifier IC is designed for use in portable terminals operating in the 824 to 849 MHz cellular band. The amplifier provides analog operation for Advanced Mobile Phone Service (IS-19) handsets, operates from a 3 to 5 V supply and requires no external negative voltage supply. The unit is supplied in a space-efficient, low cost power TSSOP-20 plastic package and is designed to require minimal external circuitry for matching and bias, which simplifies design and keeps board space and cost to a minimum. Specifications include an output power of 30.5 dBm (min) (+31.5 (typ)), efficiency of 50 percent (min) (60 percent (typ)), operating temperature of –30° to +110°C, small signal gain of 28 dB, power gain of 24.5 dB and input return loss of 13 dB.
