DECT RF Chipset
This RF chipset designed for use in Digital European Cordless Telephone (DECT) applications uses SiGe technology and a closed-loop modulation concept to prevent undesired frequency deviations, resulting in less expenditure of shielding, better performance and faster production time. The RF chipset is offered as a system solution and includes the model U7004B SiGe front-end IC, model U2761B receiver IC and model U2785B transmitter phase-locked loop (PLL) IC. Tuning is carried out electronically via software programming. Once the parameters are set (via the internal bus), they are stored in the baseband processor’s EEPROM. Price: $6.70 (25,000).

Surface-mount Frequency Synthesizer
The model PSA-890 surface-mount frequency synthesizer is designed for wireless cellular and wide area network applications. The synthesizer operates from a 5 V supply with a power consumption of 32 mA at 5 V and a phase noise of –86 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and –110 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz. The synthesizer covers the 860 to 925 MHz frequency range with an adjustable step size of 25 kHz. Spurious suppression is better than –60 dBc and second harmonic suppression exceeds –20 dBc.
