Aeroflex/Inmet, an operating unit of Aeroflex Inc., has rebranded the surface mount resistive power products which were previously marketed under the Aeroflex/KDI-Resistor Products banner as POWERFILM™. This product line was transferred to Aeroflex/Inmet in August 2011, whereas product improvements coupled with pending new product introductions, provide a platform to introduce a new brand refocused on the foundation built over the past 50 years.

“We are pleased to have added the KDI-Resistor Products portfolio and thin film technology to our business and are excited about the business opportunities this consolidation presents,” stated Craig Lindberg, general manager. “Now having both coaxial and surface mount resistive solutions available to our customers, we look forward to extending this technology even further by significantly increasing our focus on technology and product development in addition to new markets and applications.”

“The POWERFILM name embodies the attributes originally associated with the product offering, as the technology was forged with an emphasis on high power resistive solutions dating back to its Pyrofilm days, ” added Norm Hansen, vice president of sales & marketing. “As the new brand name indicates, POWER is just the beginning.  We have plans to add more functionality and diversity to this product offering as the future evolves”.
