TriQuint Semiconductor, an RF products manufacturer and foundry services provider, will showcase an extensive portfolio of integrated RF products for base transceiver station (BTS) radios at the European Microwave Conference. TriQuint products reduce the size and complexity of RF circuitry by integrating multiple functions into modules. This enables migration to smaller, more ‘green’ remote radio head (RRH) base stations, a plan system operators are deploying to expand networks for 3G/4G smartphones and other mobile devices.

TQM879006 – New Integrated DVGA Module is Ideal for 3G/4G BTS Apps

The TQM879006 is a digital variable gain amplifier (DVGA) module that fully integrates a low noise amplifier gain block, a digital-step attenuator (DSA) and a high linearity, 0.25 W amplifier along with all matching components, bias chokes and blocking capacitors inside a compact 6x6 mm leadless SMT package. The internal DSA offers 0.5 dB step, 6-bit and 31.5 dB range with serial control. This DVGA operates over the 1.8 to 2.7 GHz range with 31 dB gain, +41 dBm OIP3 and +25.4 dBm P1dB using a single +5 V supply. The module offers an ideal compact solution for: 3G/4G base station transceivers/repeaters/remote radio heads.

TQP3M9008 – Low Noise Gain Block Can Reduce BOMs for 3G/4G Infrastructure

TriQuint has released a new low noise gain block that offers high gain over a broad 0.05 to 4 GHz frequency range. The TQP3M9008 is a cascadable amplifier that requires no external matching components and can reduce BOMs. The gain block provides 35.5 dBm OIP3, while still maintaining a low 1.3 dB noise figure, applicable for both Rx and Tx chains. The TQP3M9008 also provides a flat 20 dB gain up to 1.9 GHz (50 ohm input/output impedance; industry standard SOT-89 packaging), performance that makes them ideal for 3G/4G infrastructure as well as any other general wireless applications below 4 GHz.

AH323 – New Two-Stage 2 W Driver Provides Compact Solution for 3G/4G Infrastructure

The AH323 is a high linearity amplifier in a compact 5x5 mm package. The amplifier provides two stages of gain with the added benefit of low return loss (> 15 dB I/O), which minimizes any mismatch effects with other stages. This MMIC solution offers a high level of integration with on-chip interstage matching and can be configured for operation in all mobile infrastructure bands from 0.7 to 2.7 GHz. The device is ideal for 3G/4G base station transceivers, HPAs, or Femtocell applications.

TQP8M9013 – A New High Dynamic Range Two-Stage Driver Amplifier

TriQuint new TQP8M9013 is a high dynamic range two-stage driver amplifier in a low-cost surface-mount package for high performance 3G/4G base station applications. The amplifier is able to achieve high performance across a broad range with +43 dBm OIP3, +28 dBm P1dB and 2.9 dB noise figure while drawing 225 mA current. The product consists of a high linearity, low noise amplifier stage, followed by a 0.5 W high linearity driver amplifier.
