Mini-Circuits and Modelithics Inc. have agreed to collaborate in the development of high-accuracy EDA simulation models of Mini-Circuits’ surface-mount microwave precision fixed attenuators YAT and RCAT series.
Vaunix Technology Corp.
announced the addition of eight new models to its LMS Series of signal generators. The additions are in response to customer demand for defined frequency bands through 4 GHz, specifically 70 to 450 MHz, 250 to 1500 MHz, 600 to 3200 MHz, and 1000 to 4000 MHz.
Passive Plus Inc. is the newest addition to the Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) Program. Passive Plus Inc. (PPI) and Modelithics Inc. have collaborated to develop Global™ Models for four series of PPI’s ultra-low ESR capacitors.
Piconics Inc. and Modelithics Inc. have collaborated to upgrade the previous Piconics conical inductor S-parameter models to full equivalent circuit models, now offering substrate scalability/selectability, series and shunt configurations, and broadband validation up to as high as 65 GHz for some configurations. These models represent the first comprehensive, measurement-based equivalent circuit models for conical inductors in the Modelithics Library.
Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) announced the release of a new version of its popular ADIsimRF™ design tool. The free design tool is the software accompaniment to ADI's complete portfolio of RF-to-digital functional blocks, allowing engineers to model RF signal chains using devices from across ADI's RF IC and data converter portfolio.
Aeroflex/Inmet Inc. and Modelithics Inc. have teamed to develop Global™ Models for Aeroflex/ Inmet surface mount attenuators (PCAF and PCAAF series) and high power chip resistors (NPC50-50W and NPC50-100W series). The advanced model features include substrate scaling, pad geometry scaling and part value selectability.
Mentor Graphics announced the new release of its HyperLynx® product featuring advanced 3D channel and trace modeling, improved DDR signoff verification, and accelerated simulation performance.
Agilent Technologies Inc. announced shipment of EMPro 2012, its 3-D electromagnetic simulation software.
KEMET Corp., a leading manufacturer of tantalum, ceramic, aluminum, film, paper and electrolytic capacitors, and Modelithics have partnered to provide highly accurate and scalable Global™ models of KEMET’s CBR Series of capacitors, sizes 0201, 0402, 0603, and 0805, for RF and microwave applications. As an innovation for this work, aimed at improved design centering, Modelithics used actual low frequency capacitance of parts used for RF model development instead of assumed nominal part value.
AWR Corp. and Modelithics Inc. have announced the release of Version 9.3 of the Modelithics® COMPLETE Library for AWR’s Microwave Office™ high-frequency design software.
