CETECOM, a world leading test laboratory, has selected Rohde & Schwarz (R&S), a global leader in wireless test solutions, to enhance their over-the-air (OTA) testing capabilities with a new test system that includes LTE multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) and 802.11n functionality. The TS8991 test system can perform OTA measurements for LTE MIMO in addition to all cellular 2G, 3G, and 4G technology standards.
Rohde & Schwarz has developed the world's first integrated end-to-end test solution that examines the impact applications have on smartphones and the network using IP and protocol statistical analysis. Equipped with the new R&S CMW-KM051 option, the R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester can comprehensively analyze and test IP-based applications utilizing ipoque’s powerful deep packet inspection (DPI) engine.
Rohde & Schwarz, a global leader in test and measurement, has expanded its portfolio of solutions focused on the three key aspects that impact mobile network operators’ customer satisfaction: the devices subscribers use, the networks they use them on and the services and applications they use.
With the introduction of the new R&S RTM series, Rohde & Schwarz has expanded the functional range of its bench oscilloscopes. The key upgrades are a 20 Msample deep memory and a logic analysis option with 16 digital channels. The smart operating concept of the new R&S RTM models ensures extreme ease of use.
Fast, precise, highly linear – users working with a frequency range over 67 GHz now also benefit from the unique features of the thermal power sensors from Rohde & Schwarz. The new R&S NRP-Z58 is the world's first power sensor that covers the frequency range continuously from DC to 110 GHz.
Power analysis requires that users measure voltage and current. For this purpose, Rohde & Schwarz offers high end voltage and current probes and now also the new R&S RT-ZF20 deskew fixture. The deskew fixture makes it easy to measure delay differences, which can then be corrected in the oscilloscope.
Rohde & Schwarz adds the R&S BBA150 for the microwave range to its EMC portfolio. These compact, lightweight amplifiers with their state-of-the-art design are optimized for high frequencies starting at 0.8 GHz. Depending on the setup, the R&S BBA150 can be manually operated via its display and buttons or it can automatically control via a remote control interface or a web browser.
Rohde & Schwarz adds the rugged, passive R&S RT ZZ80 broadband probe to its portfolio. This probe offers a bandwidth of 8 GHz. When analyzing electronic circuits, passive broadband probes such as the R&S RT-ZZ80 are a cost-efficient, rugged alternative to active, high bandwidth probes. They are well-suited for testing transmission lines with low impedance (20 Ohm to 100 Ohm).
Rohde & Schwarz has tailored its mid-range measuring instruments to handle WLAN signals in line with IEEE 802.11ac. Using the R&S SMBV100A and R&S FSV, manufacturers of WLAN chipsets, components and devices can now easily generate and analyze signals with 160 MHz bandwidth.
Rohde & Schwarz performs together with ASTRI a live test on a 2x2 MIMO base station in the uplink and downlink at the Mobile World Congress 2013. Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) provides an LTE-Advanced small cell as the device under test. What makes this demonstration special is that the 2x2 MIMO signal is generated and analyzed using only a single measuring instrument each.
