Precision Devices Inc. (PDI), a member of the Avrio Technology Group, will be publicly showing its flat pack Series XO clock oscillators for the first time at this year’s DSEI exhibition in London.

The International M2M Council (IMC) announced the election of its first slate of officers. Hughes Network Systems LLC (Hughes), the global leader in broadband satellite solutions and services, announced a significant advancement in rotary wing Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLOS) SATCOM capabilities by successfully demonstrating data throughputs of up to 10 Mbps through rotor blades and over geostationary satellites to a remote HUB.

The R&S BBA150 broadband amplifier from Rohde & Schwarz is now also available with a frequency range from 2.5 GHz to 6.0 GHz. The new frequency range is an addition to the already existing range from 0.8 GHz to 3.0 GHz. Thanks to their state-of-the-art design, the amplifiers, which have been optimized for high frequencies, deliver high output power, and are still compact and lightweight.

Molex Inc., a global electronic components company, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Koch Industries Inc., one of the world's largest and most successful private companies. Under the terms of the agreement, Koch Industries will acquire all of Molex's outstanding shares, including the Common Stock (MOLX), the Class A Common Stock (MOLXA) and the Class B Common Stock, for $38.50 per share in cash, for a total equity value of approximately $7.2 billion.

Machine-to-machine (M2M) is often portrayed as a nascent industry sector. However, operators are already generating strong revenue in this sector, amounting to USD10 billion worldwide in 2013, and increasing to USD88 billion by 2023. Future growth opportunities will be realised in emerging regions as applications are tailored to local markets and the cost of solutions declines.

NEC Corp.announced a new deal between NEC Neva Communications Systems and Russian mobile operator Scartel, which will see LTE microcell base stations used to provide commercial services in Russia for the first time.

Anite has achieved validation for the most number of LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation protocol test cases by the PTCRB (a wireless device certification forum led by North American mobile operators).
