Rohde & Schwarz has enhanced its new R&S SMW200A high-end vector signal generator by adding the R&S SMW K540 option for envelope tracking. This option enables quick and easy testing of envelope tracking power amplifiers for smartphones, base stations and tactical radios.   

EMITE has included the R&S CMW500 Wideband Radio Communication Tester from Rohde & Schwarz as a supported test solution for MIMO Over-the-Air (OTA) testing.

The R&S TS8980FTA-2 and R&S CMW500 platforms from Rohde & Schwarz will expand the overall test capabilities of PCTEST Lab, boost its ability to offer the complete range of wireless test services needed for global certification, and make certification testing more efficient for customers.

The R&S CMW500 is now fully integrated into the EMITE MIMO Graphic User Interface test software, and has been successfully demonstrated to customers worldwide.

The R&S BBA150 broadband amplifier from Rohde & Schwarz is now also available with a frequency range from 2.5 GHz to 6.0 GHz. The new frequency range is an addition to the already existing range from 0.8 GHz to 3.0 GHz. Thanks to their state-of-the-art design, the amplifiers, which have been optimized for high frequencies, deliver high output power, and are still compact and lightweight.

Rohde & Schwarzhas reached a milestone in the introduction of voice over LTE telephony for the IP multimedia subsystem (IMS). The T&M specialist has verified the world's first test cases for IMS emergency calls over EPS/EUTRA in compliance with GCF Work Item 154.

SK Telecom and Rohde & Schwarz plan to build a test bed for active antenna systems (AAS), a smart antenna system developed as part of SK Telecom’s strategy to promote a concept known as SUPER Cell. A unique feature of the tried and tested R&S NRP power sensors is their ability to work independently of a specific base unit. The sensors can be connected directly to a PC or laptop via USB. Rohde & Schwarz has now implemented this feature for compact smartphones and tablet PCs as well.
