NI (formerly AWR Corp.) continues to proudly sponsor this year’s 2017 IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 13th annual High-Efficiency Power Amplifier Student Design Competition (HEPA-SDC). The competition encourages student teams from around the world to design and construct a power amplifier (PA) and bring it to IMS in Honolulu, Hawaii, where industry experts will evaluate the performance of all entered PAs on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

The top performing PA will be awarded a cash prize of $2,000.00 on behalf of IEEE and the top three winning teams will also receive fully-functional, one-year, personal term licenses for the popular NI AWR Design Environment, inclusive of Microwave Office circuit design software, Visual System Simulator™ (VSS) communication system design software and AXIEM and Analyst™ 3D electromagnetic (EM) software.
