Title: Online Panel: 5G/6G Advances
Date: November 12, 2025
Time: 8am PT / 11am ET
Sponsored by: Qorvo, MathWorks and CADFEM
Abstract:
This panel of industry experts will discuss and debate the various RF architectures, simulation and test techniques being developed for 5G advanced and 6G applications such as fixed wireless access, cellular repeaters, AI/ML algorithms, sensing systems, high throughput THz systems and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces. Panelists will debate and discuss the best RF architectures, semiconductor platforms, testing methods and antenna solutions including performance achieved by their products and partners to date in the market.

Panelist: Houman Zarrinkoub, PhD, Principal Product Manager, MathWorks
Panelist: Alexander Shalaby, RF Electromagnetics Business Development Manager, CADFEM
Panel Participant Bios:
Moderator – Microwave Journal®
Del Pierson, Technical Editor
Del Pierson is the Technical Editor for Microwave Journal and brings a background in physics and RF component design and manufacturing to the journal. She is keen to educate the RF community on new innovations and has experience in quantum computing, nanomaterials, space applications and other harsh environment electronics. Del has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Colby College and has combined her technical, business and communications skills to move from sales engineering and product management to editing the journal. In her current role, Del aims to bring fresh energy to the RF and microwave industry through enthusiastically co-hosting Frequency Matters, writing original content for the journal, working with authors to bring their ideas to life and participating in industry events.
Qorvo
Nikolaus Klemmer, Qorvo Fellow, High Performance RF R&D
Nikolaus Klemmer is a Qorvo Fellow in High-Performance R&D with over 30 years of experience in semiconductor and system design for cellular and wireless applications—spanning every generation of mobile technology. He has held engineering leadership roles at Ericsson, Analog Devices, Texas Instruments and Samsung. At Qorvo, he drives advanced infrastructure systems and is a recognized expert in GaN architectures and wideband amplifiers. He holds more than 40 patents and mentors the next generation of engineers.
MathWorks
