The RFFC207xA and RFFC507xA series of parts are reconfigurable frequency conversion devices with an integrated fractional-N phased locked loop (PLL) synthesizer, voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), and one or two high linearity mixers. The fractional-N synthesizer takes advantage of an advanced sigma-delta modulator that delivers ultra-fine step sizes and low spurious products.

The new range of single phase-locked loop frequency synthesisers from AtlanTecRF exhibit excellent performance in terms of electrical specification and versatility. Their miniature size ensures they are highly suitable for many applications in communications, radar and test instrumentation.

PMI Model No. PIA-10G-CD-1 is a 10 GHz integrated, dielectric resonator (DRO) module with three outputs, each having a 0 to 360 degree analog controlled, variable phase shifter and 0 to 10 dB analog controlled, variable output control capability on each of the outputs.  This model provides a low harmonic output of -50 dBc typical and an output power level of +19 dBm typical.  

Linear Technology Corp. introduces the LTC3864, a high voltage step-down DC/DC controller that draws only 40 µA quiescent current in standby mode with the output enabled in Burst Mode^® operation. The 3.5 to 60 V input supply range is designed to protect against high voltage transients, to operate continuously during automotive cold crank and covers a broad range of input sources and battery chemistries.

Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LTC4226, a dual Hot Swap™ controller, enabling safe board insertion into live 4.5 to 44 V backplanes. The LTC4226 controls external N-channel MOSFETs to gently power up the board, avoiding sparks, connector damage and system glitches. A dual rate fault timer protects the MOSFET and system from long or damaging overcurrents.

Richardson RFPD Inc. announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for a new dual, 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI). The AD9645 includes an on-chip sample-and-hold circuit designed for low cost, low power, small size and ease of use.

PMI Model No. FD-0518-10-812 is a 8.0 to 12.0 GHz frequency discriminator that provides a video output of 50 mV/GHz and has an accuracy of +/-200 MHz. The rise time is less than 20 nsec and operates into a 100 ohm video load. This model operates on +/-15 VDC and measures 2.0" x 1.8" x 0.5".

Linear Technology Corp. announces the LTC3122, a 3 MHz current-mode, synchronous boost DC/DC converter with integrated output disconnect. Its internal 2.5A switches deliver output voltages as high as 15 V from an input voltage range of 1.8 V at start-up (0.5 V when running) to 5.5 V, making it ideal for battery or standard 3.3 V and 5 V power sources.

Richardson RFPD Inc. announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for three single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switches designed using the 0.25µm GaN on SiC production process from TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. (TriQuint). The TGS2351-SM, TGS2352 and TGS2353  switches are ideally-suited for high power switching applications.

RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for two new single-pole, multi-throw switches. The SKY13414-485LF is a SP4T and the SKY13418-485LF is a SP8T. Both parts cover a broad frequency range of 100 to 3000 MHz and are pin compatible with each other. The SP8T offers 0.65 dB typical insertion loss with >20 dB of isolation while the SP4T provides 0.55 dB insertion loss and >25 dB isolation.
