CAE is pleased to announce the appointment of Gene Colabatistto as its new Group President, Military Simulation Products, Training and Services. He will be replacing Martin Gagné who, after 16 years of service with CAE, has decided to retire.

Researchers at MIT have found a new way of making complex three-dimensional structures using self-assembling polymer materials that form tiny wires and junctions. The work has the potential to usher in a new generation of microchips and other devices made up of submicroscopic features.

The Royal Academy of Engineering, Radio Design Ltd and the University of Leeds, UK, have announced the establishment of a new Research Chair focussed on original research in the field of microwave signal processing. Professor Ian Hunter of the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering has been appointed to this position and will head up a Centre of Microwave Signal Processing at Leeds University.

Rohde & Schwarz is investing €52 million in Singapore’s economy over the next three years. The investment includes a brand new €35 million building at Changi Business Park.

Auriga Microwave announces the promotion of Dr. Nickolas Kingsley to Director of Engineering. Dr. Kingsley will assume responsibility for managing Auriga’s RF/microwave engineering team while Dr. Yusuke Tajima, Auriga’s CTO, will focus on driving Auriga to the elite heights of GaN- and GaAs-based RF microwave front ends. 

NuWaves Engineering has been selected to join the University of Dayton Research Institute’s Center for Unmanned Aerial System Exploitation (CUE) consortium.
