The R&S IQW100 brings signals from the real world into the laboratory to simulate real-world test environments, used in combination with selected midrange R&S signal analyzers and generators.

Rohde & Schwarz has extended its portfolio for generation and analysis of 5G signal waveforms. For 5G base stations, RF test solutions for the 5G frequency ranges FR1 (450 MHz to 7.125 GHz) and FR2 up to 44 GHz will be demonstrated.

 

Rohde & Schwarz and CommSolid have partnered up to demonstrate the effectiveness of the NB-IoT Release 15 feature wake up signal in reducing the power consumption of NB-IoT devices.Test functions newly implemented on an R&S CMW290 Functional Radio Communication Tester are employed to outline the difference in power consumption for NB-IoT devices with and without the wake up signal technology.

Rohde & Schwarz has developed a test solution able to perform the first tests for RF conformance in 3GPP FR2. The introduction of the new mmWave based FR2 frequency range for 5G and the increased use of active antennas without physical connectors requires testing to be performed over the air (OTA).

The Rohde & Schwarz setup represents some of the first research exploring data transmission at sub-THz frequencies featuring ultra-wide bandwidths. In the setup, a wideband-baseband signal is up-converted to the selected 140 GHz frequency via a R&S TC RSE converter box.
