Beceem Communications, a provider of mobile WiMAX chips, announced that its high performance chipset is helping to power devices for use with the new Clear™ 4G mobile WiMAX service, offered by Clearwire in Portland, OR. With Clear, consumers and businesses can access the Internet wirelessly, at true broadband speeds – at home, in the office or on the go.

The collaboration between Clearwire and Beceem served to optimize the mobile WiMAX network performance for the Clear USB modem and the Clear residential modem, both manufactured by Motorola.
