The major opportunities and challenges of enabling spectrum sharing through dynamic access technologies will be a key theme of the upcoming DSA Global Summit 2025 taking place from 17–19 November in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Hosted by the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA), the event will bring together the world’s leading regulators, spectrum authorities, industry experts and academics from across the Wi-Fi ecosystem to consider the ways spectrum policies and success stories can be implemented successfully across the globe.
“We are delighted to announce the date and location of this year’s Global Summit,” said DSA President Martha Suarez. “Dynamic spectrum management and unlicensed spectrum access are pivotal to optimizing our increasingly digital society. These approaches can modernize public services and infrastructure, and enable cutting-edge smart applications across critical sectors. The DSA Global Summit remains the world’s leading event for all things spectrum, and we welcome all interested parties to attend.”
The DSA Global Summit will be co-located with Wi-Fi World Congress. Both events will focus on the latest innovations and opportunities within the world of Wi-Fi, including the latest standards, spectrum allocations, technologies and solutions for both government, residential and business applications.
Day one of the Summit will consider sector-specific use cases where dynamic spectrum management and unlicenced access is being successfully applied. This includes the public sector — smart cities, infrastructure and emergency communications — as well as other key areas such as sports venues, healthcare, hospitality, enterprise and industrial environments. These sessions will highlight the ways spectrum policies and regulations are enabling optimal connectivity, performance and inclusion in each sector.
Joint sessions and regulator activities will be the main focus of day two of the event. Featuring joint sessions with the Wi-Fi World Congress and regulator panels, attendees will hear the ways spectrum policies can be put into practice, enabling countries to benefit from greater spectrum sharing and emerging frameworks for unlicensed and licensed access, and learn how greater regulatory harmonization can be achieved.
Day three then considers implementation and future trends related to the Wi-Fi industry. Topics will include the role of technologies such as Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7, the role of dynamic sharing systems, the current technology enablers and the innovations required to evolve spectrum policies to overcome the connectivity demands of tomorrow.
Attendees will hear the latest insights from regulatory bodies and institutions (including the International Telecommunication Union, Abrint, WAPA, WISPA, APJII, the Ministry of Digital Affairs, NTIA, Ofcom and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office), academia and research entities (the University of Notre Dame, Directed Energy Research Centre, Cullen International, the National Radio Research Agency) and the leading businesses operating in the sector (such as Broadcom, Cisco, Meta, HPE and Amazon).
Full details regarding speakers and tracks will be announced in the coming weeks. Visit the DSA website to register your attendance and learn more about the event: https://www.dynamicspectrumalliance.org/global-summit-2025/.
