The Satcoms Innovation Group (SIG) has announced that its European Workshop will take place at ETL Systems in Herefordshire, U.K. Taking place on 26 and 27 June, the workshop will bring together operators, manufacturers and vendors in order to discuss the technical aspects of the latest changes within the satcom landscape.

SIG promotes cooperation among industry stakeholders to propel innovation and maximize the potential of satcom. With NewSpace transforming the communication landscape, the agenda will focus on technical topics such as Digital IF, RF interference and antenna approvals, as well as the ongoing challenge of talent acquisition within the industry.

Host, ETL Systems, designs and builds essential elements of critical satellite communications infrastructure. The company offers a full suite of solutions between the antenna and the modem for both the uplink and downlink chains. ETL has expanded its range to include instrumentation and measurement equipment for the set up and testing of RF chains through its acquisition of Atlantic Microwave Ltd.

Helen Weedon, SIG managing director, commented, “SIG workshops bring together some of the most important stakeholders within the industry to address the technical challenges behind some of the most advanced operations within satcom. I would like to thank our longstanding member, ETL Systems, for hosting what will be a significant and interesting event.”

Andrew Bond, ETL Systems sales and marketing director, added, “We are at the forefront of an evolving industry, and it is critical to examine and deliberate technical observations within operations. Having a platform which allows discussion among organisations from all aspects of the industry is crucial, and we are therefore very excited to host SIG’s European Workshop this June.”

Registrations for the SIG European Workshop are now open.
