mmWave Test Solutions, a manufacturer of modular anechoic chambers and positioning solutions for over-the-air antenna measurements, has introduced the DUO3.5 and DUO5.5, two new high precision positioners in the DUO series.
The DUO 3.5, an evolution of the DUO3, introduces a sliding device under test (DUT)/antenna under test (AUT) arm to adjust DUT depth easily. By clever use of a bracketing arm system, the DUO3.5 allows rapid changes between DUTs of varying depth without needing DUT plate adapters or spacers. In addition, the DUO3.5 broader arm base will hold DUTs/AUTs up to 30 cm in width.
The new DUO5.5 offers a sizeable capacity increase over the DUO5. The DUO5.5 can hold DUTs up to 83 cm width, making it ideal for testing antennas in large mechanical enclosures such as automotive side-view mirrors with radar sensors, vRAN/OpenRAN base station antennas, or gNodeB units with non-centered antenna placements.
