MmWave Test Solutions has debuted a new generation (GEN2) of their AC1224 antenna test chamber. It is an entirely modular design using very high-performing 115 mm (5 inches) or 300 mm (12 inches) absorbers tuned for radar, microwave, and mmWave antenna test applications.
The system starts with a W2.4 m x H2.4 m x D3.6 m model (8 ft. x 8 ft. x 12 ft.) and is depth extendable using 1.2 m (4 ft.) modules. The modular design allows the chamber to be extended at any time if requirements change. Also available is an even wider 3.6 m version, also extendable in 1.2 m increments. All AC1224 system now uses a CNC-machined rigid aluminum frame structure to secure tight tolerances and system scalability.
Panel sizes of only 1.2 m x 2.4 m (4 ft. x8 ft.) allow the chamber parts to be hand-carried through narrow doors, into elevators, or on stairs to build the AC1224 in areas where traditional chambers can not go. Furthermore, the AC1224 GEN2 assembles from inside-out and requires almost no workspace around the chamber during assembly. It makes the system ideal for labs, offices, and basements with highly constrained building space.
