MACOM has introduced and is sampling three broadband voltage controlled oscillators (VCO) that collectively cover 6 to 20 GHz. They were designed to address the needs of test and measurement (T&M), aerospace and defense (A&D) and communications.
These wideband VCOs have octave tuning ranges — 6 to 12, 7 to 14 and 10 to 20 GHz — and maintain low phase noise and low current consumption. Output power is stable, with ±2 dB variation over temperature. They are fully matched and don't require external matching components. The VCOs are biased with a single positive voltage (+5 V) and are packaged in lead-free 4 mm 24-lead QFNs.
Typical performance of the VCO family is summarized below:
Parameter | Units | MAOC-409000 | MAOC-410100 | MAOC-415000 |
