Underwriters Laboratories has chosen Anritsu as its provider for LTE telecoms equipment, becoming the first commercial independent LTE conformance test facility in the UK.
Telecoms retail revenue in the emerging Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is predicted to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7 percent between 2011 and 2016, according to a new report from Analysys Mason (www.analysysmason.com). Total telecoms service revenue will grow by 29 pecent from USD229.7 billion in 2011 to USD323.7 billion by 2016.

In order to expand and develop its operations in Africa NEC Corporation will establish branch offices in Nairobi, Kenya and in Lagos, Nigeria. The company has also appointed Masahiro Yoshikawa as President of NEC Africa (Pty) Ltd, which is a 100 percent subsidiary of NEC Europe Ltd, the regional headquarters in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
